Job description

At Vilgain, we’re shaping the future of food. We're growing fast, expanding our teams, and entering new markets. To keep things running smoothly and sustainably, we’re looking for a legal professional who will make sure we have our legal foundations set up right.

We’re looking for an independent and reliable Legal Counsel to take ownership of key legal areas — from procurement contracts and HR support to general business compliance.

What you’ll take care of:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts — especially in procurement, supplier relations, and services

  • Managing legal documentation between companies within our holding structure
Defining and optimizing contract lifecycle processes — signing, storing, tracking, and periodic review

  • Introducing and improving legal automation (AI-based tools, templates, workflows)

  • Providing legal support across departments (marketing, finance, operations, HR) as needed

  • Communicating with external law firms, authorities, and business partners

  • Helping define internal processes and policies in line with legislation

What we’re looking for:

  • A law degree and at least 3 years of legal practice

  • Hands-on experience in commercial and employment law

  • The ability to manage your own agenda, follow through, and collaborate with business teams

  • A pragmatic mindset — you know how to balance legal certainty with operational reality

  • A detail-oriented yet context-aware working style

  • Proficient English — you can confidently communicate, review contracts, and negotiate

What we offer:

  • Meaningful work — your impact on how the company runs will be direct and visible

  • A fast-paced environment without unnecessary bureaucracy

  • A chance to help shape internal processes and support company growth across the EU and beyond

  • Flexible working setup — Brno or Prague office, or possibility to work remotely

  • Monthly credits for shopping on our e-shop and in stores

  • 5 weeks of vacation, Multisport card, meal contribution, pension plan, or English lessons

Hiring process:

  1. Intro call with HR — we’ll align expectations

  2. Interview with our COO, David

  3. Final interview with our CEO, Michal
